The Eternal Flame represents the Risen Christ’s continuous presence in our lives.
St. John 1:3-5 “All things came into being through Him, and without Him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in Him was life and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the shadows and the shadows cannot overcome it.”
St. John 8:12 – Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in shadows but have the light of life.”
The Music and Worship Committee has had the Eternal Flame added to our sanctuary in honor of the Saints Triumphant and the Saints still busy. It burns continuously that all may know, at all times, forever, Jesus reigns and the Saints live.
The parts for the shelf that holds the Eternal Flame were purchased at L&M, welded and fashioned by Sara Balbin, painted and installed by Ray Austin.
The beeswax inserts that burn within the red glass sleeve can be sponsored at a cost of $10 a month and there may be multiple sponsors.
The candles for the eternal flame are given by Barb Klippel and children in memory of Jim.
