We have added a page under the “Outreach” tab called “Virtually”  On this page we have listed most of our virtual Zoom events with links or you can call the church office to receive the link.

Virtual events include:

  • Coffee Hours on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 am – 10 am for fellowship. Come for 5 minutes or stay for the whole hour. This is a time dedicated just to chatting and catching up.
  • Online Bible Studies meet Tuesday nights at 7pm and Wednesday mornings at 10am. Both studies are different. Engage in both! Exploring the Bible in a fun and laid back way. All are welcome. Both studies are led by Pastor Joel and have fantastic discussions.
  • Mid-Week Contemporary Worship  Join us on Zoom on Wednesday evenings for Mid-Week Contemporary Advent Worship. Services will begin promptly at 6:30pm and last about 30 minutes. Following worship we will hold small group discussions.  Let the HOPE, PEACE, JOY, & LOVE center us!  This Advent season let’s build a bridge on the gap between youth and elders at First Lutheran.  The small group discussions after each service will place people in different groups for conversation. Make this time be a place to hear the voices of everyone. Take the time to learn about others.
  • Theology on Tap are on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.  Grab a favorite drink, your computer/tablet/phone and join a great conversation from the comfort of your home.
  • Purls of Prayer are on the 3rd Saturday of the month.  Love to knit or crochet? Need some fellowship? Join the Purls and help make prayer shawls while relaxing at home.

Note:  First Lutheran Church follows the lead of Hayward Schools on in-person meetings during this COVID- 19 pandemic. If in-person school is an option, in-person youth groups will happen. If school is 100% virtual, youth groups are virtual. The Youth Committee continues the planning of in-person and virtual gatherings. Changes happen very quickly and FLC Youth Committee works as fast as we can to make the transitions seamless. Thank you for your support and dedication to our youth ministries!
